Is it a good idea to put an RV in your Rental Consignment Program?

WRV owners in our program are extremely happy with how we treat them and their RV. When you enter our program, you are trusting our territory manager to take care of your RV like it was their own. And that's exactly what we do. By renting your RV through RV Management USA, you can turn your vehicle into a reliable income source, with thousands of dollars in passive earnings each year. We handle all the details-marketing, bookings, storage, cleaning, rentals, and maintenance. You can also enjoy the freedom to use your RV whenever you wish. With Colorado's year-round appeal, renting your RV is a smart move, and RV Management USA will help you maximize your returns with minimal effort.

Can you legally rent your RV in Colorado?

Yes, renting your RV in Colorado is allowed, as long as you comply with local regulations and insurance policies. To rent out your RV, it must be in good condition without a salvage title. The tires should be reliable, and all internal appliances, plumbing, and systems should function properly.

How much money can I make in the rental management program in Colorado?

Colorado RV owners who rent their RVs realize about $600-$2850 per month renting their motorhomes and trailers. Travel trailer owners will profit most if their unit has bunk beds, whereas motorhome owners can maximize revenues if their RVs comfortably sleep 5+ people. Colorado has many opportunities for rentals throughout the year and we make sure your RV is rented for the highest nightly price possible, while also ensuring full safety and coverage along the way.

How much money will I make and when do I get paid?

We don't like to overstate earning potential. Remember, if your RV isn't earning for you, then it isn't earning for us either. Our entire goal is to maximize profits and minimize risk on the RVs we manage. That being said, most RV owners in our program make between $500-$1500/month. Class A, B, and C motorhome owners can make on average $8K-$20K USD per year in their pocket depending on the location and type of RV. Earning potential depends on location and RV type. Owners are paid on a monthly basis and will get a full breakdown of all the rental details as part of an "Owner Statement" each month.

Will my RV be maintained properly?

Our territory managers work with professional on-site maintenance teams to make sure your RV is meticulously maintained throughout the year. Your RV will benefit form ongoing attention and basic maintenance like tire checks before and after each rental, roof and slide out checks once a month, ongoing appliance testing, routine oil changes, and more. We want your RV in top shape all the time so that it can continue to perform well and generate revenue. As an RV owner in our program, there are 3 main types of maintenance costs to consider:

1) Routine maintenance: Oil changes, tire rotations, etc. Owners are billed periodically for these expenses at discounted rates, and the deduction can often come directly from the rental profits in a given month.
2) Rental Damages: Any damage to an RV that happens on a rental will be covered fully by the renter's security deposit and/or the commercial insurance coverage. Our managers deal with all claims and repairs at no cost to the RV owner - renters pay the deductible and your personal insurance is not involved.
3) Systemic maintenance: Systemic issues are the responsibility of the RV owner. A/C failure, water pump failure, fridge or hot water tank failure, etc. These are costs that arise from no fault of the renter. Warranty protection plans usually cover these systemic repairs, and our managers work with the warranty company and RV techs to get these fixed. Our managers will work with you to get your RV back in top shape as quickly and professionally as possible.

What kind of RVs do you accept into your fleet?

We will consider any RV that is in great condition but we focus mostly on newer Class A, B, and C motorhomes and late model travel trailers with bunk beds. We also will consider fifth wheels and custom conversion campervans. Every RV must be 5 years or newer to qualify for rental management. Sometimes we make exceptions for very well maintained older units.

Can I use my RV if I want for my own RV adventures?

Of course you can! It's your RV after all. Whenever you want to use your rig you just let the manager know and if it's not booked for a rental we will reserve it for your own usage! Just remember to give us ample heads up and bring back the RV clean and ready to go for the next renter.

How long are the contracts?

Owners typically consign their RVs for 6 -12 months at a time, on average. Managers are flexible with the contracts and they work with all owners individually to establish contracts that make the most sense for everyone.
